RSVP for Bridge Builders: An Inspiring Conversation with Miss America 2020 Camille Schrier and Faith Leaders Responding to the Opioid Epidemic

Join us on July 9 at 6:30 p.m. CDT for Bridge Builders: An Inspiring Conversation with Miss America 2020 Camille Schrier and Faith Leaders Responding to the Opioid Epidemic. The virtual conversation will convene faith leaders and health experts to discuss the tragic impact of the opioid crisis, which claims the lives of more than 130 Americans each day, as well as solutions that will save lives and livelihoods.

Camille Schrier was crowned Miss America in December 2019. A Doctor of Pharmacy student and certified Naloxone trainer, Schrier’s social impact initiative is called “Mind Your Meds,” a program that focuses on drug safety and abuse prevention. Miss Schrier will be joined by panelists:

• Dr. Basem Hamid, Imam of the Shadow Creek Muslim Community Center in Houston
• Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner of the Jacksonville Jewish Center in Jacksonville, Florida
• Rev. Dr. Joanna Seibert, a deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas who serves at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock
• Rev. Dr. Vonshurii S. Wrighten, Senior Pastor in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Christian Thrasher, Senior Director of Substance Use Disorders and Recovery at the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Health Matters Initiative, will offer opening remarks.
